Personal Care Assistant
Location: Winwick Area, Warrington
Hours: 29.5 hours per week for each post
Sleepovers: 7 per week to share between 4 Care Assistants
Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour
Sleepover Rate: £70 per sleepover
Driver Required: Yes, Full UK Driving Licence Essential
About the Role
A friendly and sociable 56-year-old gentleman with Cerebral Palsy is looking to recruit a team of four, reliable and enthusiastic Personal Care Assistants.
Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, (in total there are 118 care hours per week, shared equally between 4 Personal Care Assistants) to enable the client to live independently in his own home.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support someone who enjoys getting out into the community, visiting new places, attending appointments, and making the most of life.
The support package consists of:
· 118 care hours per week, shared equally between 4 Personal Care Assistants
· An additional 7 sleepovers per week to share between 4 Personal Care Assistants
· Shifts and rota arrangements will be discussed at interview
A full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive the employer’s automatic wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
Main Duties
· Providing personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
· Using a hoist and sling for safe moving and handling
· Preparing and cooking meals
· Supporting with household duties, including cleaning and laundry
· Assisting with shopping and errands
· Accompanying and supporting at medical and hospital appointments
· Supporting access to social and leisure activities
· Attending holidays and trips when required (a valid passport may be needed for travel outside the UK)
· Promoting independence while ensuring safety and wellbeing

Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important.
Additional Information
· A probationary period will apply
· An enhanced DBS check will be required (provided free of charge)
