Support for unpaid carers; climate change and the environment, employment law. Janet was co-opted to the WDP Board in 2025. She is a member of the Governance and Human Resources Sub Groups.

About

Janet is an employment and housing solicitor and the deputy chief officer at Citizens Advice Warrington, responsible for recruitment and all staff issues. She also manages the Domestic Abuse and Housing team as well as the Trussel Trust and volunteer services.

Janet was a Councillor and Cabinet member at WBC between 2021 and 2025, with responsibilities for climate change and housing.

She now helps with food collections for the foodbank and is the Vice Chair of the Warrington South Constituency Labour Party. She is also an active member of Greenpeace.

In the past Janet has been a nurse, a social worker and a carer. She lives in Warrington with her husband and three cats. She and Mike are the proud owners of a narrowboat and love the wildlife and environment they see on their travels.
