A local boy from Penketh, David was previously Managing Director of Fairview Windows based in Warrington and Widnes until early 2023. He started his career with A Monk & Co as a trainee Surveyor his enthusiasm and related construction qualifications led him to join Fairview. After 10 years with the company fast forward to 1994! David took on the role of MD his determination drive and vision creating a highly reputable company that has won many national & regional awards one being the Guardian award for Outstanding Customer Service.
Having spent most of his youth as a competitive swimmer, David went onto swim the channel twice as part of a 4-man relay team. His claim to fame is that he completed in the first British Iron man in 1982 (the dusty pictures are still on his office wall!) Obviously, he is somebody who likes a challenge and in 2010 he persuaded his wife and 2 daughters to join him climb Kilimanjaro (for some reason they agreed!) the motivation was to raise funds for the Fairview Foundation which has supported local charities for many years. All David’s sporting activities have taken their toll on his knees and more lately he can be found on the golf course. David joined the DTC Board in 2013, and in 2015 he took over as Chair of the Board.
