Energy Saving Support Service

Are you struggling with your energy bills or would you benefit from some help and advice? Our City and Guilds qualified Energy Advisors provide a FREE, impartial high-quality energy advice and support service to households falling into the fuel poverty line and/or facing difficulties paying their bills.

Our work supports disabled people, frail, elderly, people who have long-term health conditions, their carers and families, as well as single and low-income households. We are working in partnership with Warrington Community Energy as well as a wide range of statutory & third-sector organisations to raise awareness and promote the service.

Services We Offer:

  • Personalised 1-2-1 energy advice via telephone, drop in’s, appointments, online and email
  • Home visits tailored to each person’s individual needs
  • Attending Workshops, informational sessions, coffee mornings, and events
  • Help and advice on your energy, electricity, gas and meters bills
  • Guidance on Energy usage and consumption
  • Tips and tricks to save you money
  • Help to talk to your supplier
  • Referrals to wider services
  • Information on Smart Meters
  • Advice on energy debt
  • Help with small measures such as LED lighting, draught-proofing etc. to reduce energy bills
  • Help to look into additional financial support, grants and assistance
  • Help signing up to the Priority Service Register for all Utilities.
  • Link you to wider services that can help make your home a healthier place to live
  • Training and awareness raising of energy advice within the third sector, health services, housing associations and other statutory bodies

How to find us

This service is based at our Centre for Independent Living (CIL), located on Beaufort Street, Warrington, WA5 1BA.

As well as the service at the CIL, we also offer a range of community events and drop ins at different locations across Warrington. These can be found on our Centre and Community Calendars, or by calling us on 01925 240064.
